Q: Why did you create myUpload, when so many other upload services already exists?
A: One of the main ideas behind myUpload was to create an unique and efficient upload service. The founders of myUpload were not satisfied with the quality of the present upload services and the deficient handling of the users' private information.

Q: How many files am I allowed to upload daily?
A: There is no limit of the number of files you are allowed to upload. Basically, you can upload as much as you want to.

Q: What is the maximum size for a file?
A: Every file has a maximum size of 500 MB. However, as a registered user you may upload up to 1000 mb per file.

Q: Is it completely free to use myUpload?
A:Yes -- using myUpload is completely free. This includes both public and private upload.

Q: Can I donate money to myUpload?
A: Yes you can. All amounts are welcome, and we really appreciate any donation since we have several expenses in running myUpload as a free service. Go to our Donate page to see which payment methods that are currently available.

Q: I have found a file which offends me or my rights and want it removed immediately. What do I do?
A: Contact us at and tell us exactly which upload you have in mind and why you want it removed.

Q: What does "Thumbnails" mean?
A: By checking this checkbox a thumbnail of your uploaded picture files will be generated. Please make note that the original picture will still be available. Supported picture types for a succesful thumbnail generation are JPEG, PNG, and GIF.

Q: What is "Thumbnail code"?
A: One of the more advanced services available as a registered user is the "Thumbnail code". It works in the following way:
%FULL_URL% - will be replaced with the URL to the original full size picture.
%THUMB_URL% - will be replaced with the URL for the generated Thumbnail picture.
This function is usefull as a fast way to post your uploaded pictues (i.e. on a forum, blog, etc.). An useful example could be: "[URL=%FULL_URL%][IMG]%THUMB_URL%[/IMG][/URL]".

Q: I recently uploaded a file but I'm no longer able to find it. What do I do?
A: myUpload respects people's privacy and anonymity and therefore there is no public exposition of the files uploaded. It is the your own responsibility to keep track of your uploads, and we highly recommend that you register for a private upload folder to keep track. Creating your own private upload folder is completely free.

Q: Is deep-linking allowed at myUpload?
A: Yes deep-linking is fully allowed. Basically, you can do what ever you want with your uploaded files.

Q: Does myUpload take backup of the files on the server?
A: Yes, we perform a daily backup of all files. In this way we are able to re-generate all files in case of a system breakdown.

Q: Is pornographic/adult material allowed at myUpload?
A: Yes -- as long as the material does not violate our Terms Of Use.

Q: Will my uploads be deleted eventually?
A: There is no time limit or life time of an uploaded file. However, we do recommend that you sign up for a private upload folder to keep track of your uploads.
